Shorefront Park Living Shoreline

In 2023, thousands of tons of armor stone were delivered to the Village of Patchogue for a “Living Shoreline” Project—one of the largest living shoreline projects in New York State. Living shorelines are a shoreline management approach that incorporates natural and nature-based features alone or in combination with structural elements. Our armor stone—a large heavy rock composed of granite—can be seen throughout the entire project.
